Look up comparable sold prices before listing. Overpriced items don't get offers. Underpriced items leave money on the table. Find the sweet spot — fair market value builds trust and gets trades done fast.
Photos Win Trades
Clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles are the #1 thing that gets your item noticed. Show any wear, scratches, or flaws upfront — honesty builds your rep and prevents disputes.
Communicate Fast
Respond to offers and messages within 24 hours. Traders who respond quickly get more deals. Ghosting after an accepted trade is a community violation and can get your account flagged.
Straight Trade = No Cash Needed
When both items are equal value, propose a straight trade. No money moves — just items. This is the purest TradeVolly experience. Equal value, equal trust.
Use Trade + Cash to Bridge Gaps
Your item is worth $250, theirs is worth $400? Offer your item + $150 cash. The seller gets full value. You get the item you want. Negotiate in messages until both sides are happy.

Propose a Trade
See something you want? Hit "Propose Trade" and select an item from your listings to offer. Add cash if needed to bridge a value gap.
Negotiate in Messages
Both parties can message back and forth. Counter-offer, ask questions, agree on terms. When you're aligned — accept.
Escrow & Ship
If cash is involved, it goes into escrow. Both traders receive a prepaid shipping barcode. Drop off your package at any carrier.
Confirm Receipt
Once your package arrives, confirm delivery in the app. When both sides confirm, escrow releases and the trade is complete.
Leave a Review
Rate your trade partner. Good reviews build rank. Honest reviews protect the community. Every star matters.
